Our Capabilities
Our processing capabilities include laminating, edging (polishing), drilling, cutting, and sand blasting on glass.
Glass Lamination
At SMART Glass, we can laminate from 6 mm all the way to 40mm. Laminated glass, regard as "Safety glass", consist of two or more panes of glass with one or more layers of interlayer sandwiched between them and treated. The glass panes can be basic float glass or tempered or heat strengthened panel. If the glass is broken fragments tend to adhere to the interlayer thereby reducing the risk of injury from falling glass and helping to resist further impact or weather damage. THe membrane has good tenacity performance and when the laminated glass breaks due to violent force, the interlayer will absorb large amount of impact energy and disperse it rapidly. Therefore, it hard to break the laminated glass and the shape of the glass may be maintained even if being broken. Furthermore, personnel inside and outside the buildings will not be hurt by the glass fragment.
Drilling
For speed, accuracy and quality of finish we drill holes upto 200m in diameter.
This automation when combined with our ability to accept and manipulate customers' diagrams/DXF/computer files ensures consistently high quality and accuracy.
Edgework
Our straight line edging machines enable us to produce a high quality polished edge on glass thickness from 4mm to 55mm and mitred edges on glass up to 19mm. The maximum glass size we can edge work is 2500mm x 4500mm.
Where a bright highly polished finish is required on radius corners we use a dedicated specialist edging machine which enables consistently accurate profiling.

Sandblasting
We can sand-blast any design shape for you. We can also effectively etch and paint as per the customers request.
